Club Volunteer Sadhbh O’Leary continues her daily blog from CCHCC’s Disneyland Paris adventure:
And so another day is done!
The time is going by so quickly I can’t believe we only have one more day to go! We had a lie in this morning – until 9am – such a luxury. We all met in the hotel for a delicious breakfast and stocked up on rolls and croissants for the day in the park.
We headed into Disney then and our group decided to head to the Disney Studios for the day – and what a day it was! First ride we went on was the Tower of Terror, the name says it all! I decided to give it a skip as it was just too early for me; I kindly offered to mind the bags. Two of the others decided to sit it out also. Everyone came off laughing so that was a good sign. The next ride was a bit easier to manage – the magic flying carpet ride! The sun came out briefly on that ride and we felt like we were really in the desert!
The rest of the day was spent going from one thrill to another. The Finding Nemo roller coaster was done three times! Other highlights included the Rock and Roller Coaster, Toy Story Racer and the Slinky ride. After lunch we decided it was time for the Hollywood Tram Tour which was such an enjoyable experience, and had some surprises in store for those who had never been on it before! Don’t want to give it away for anyone who may do it in the future but it involved fire and floods!
Then the Tower of Terror was suggested again and I couldn’t refuse twice! So myself and the two others faced our fears and stepped on board…never again!!!! It really is named so aptly. I was so shaky walking down the stairs afterwards so we had to take a nice long break in the gift shop to recover.
The full group met up in the Disney Park for dinner together in the Plaza Restaurant on Main Street Disney which was another fabulous buffet! Afterward our group wanted to squeeze in another ride so we went for Big Thunder Mountain! It was totally thrilling although people were complaining about sore ears from someone screaming so loudly – now I just don’t know who could have been to blame… As soon as we got off we wanted to go again, so we did! Just as good the second time but even scarier as we had made a pact to keep our arms in the air at all times!
We met up with the main group again on front of the Disney Castle for the breathtaking fireworks display. They really are so beautiful and such a lovely story and songs involved. It is so much more than just fireworks – it is a water, fire and light extravaganza!
We had time for a last minute shop in Disney Village then back to the hotel – many tired feet and heads! Bed time now before our last day in Disney…watch this space because its gonna be a good one!!
